We are proud to have four generations of strong, healthy, titled AKC Champion Portuguese Water Dogs. The Portuguese Water Dog is a fabulous breed. They are working dogs and, as such, require a lot of attention to training and mental stimulation. They are hard-working, intelligent, outgoing, and eager to please but they are not for every home. We strongly suggest visiting Portuguese Water Dog Club of America for more information on the Portuguese Water Dog to see if this breed is the best fit for your home and family.
We are proud to be members of the PWDCA. Through mandatory health testing, Caladesi Portuguese Water Dog puppies are health tested for all known health issues. Through certified testing, we are assured that our dogs and the boys we breed to are not carriers of any known health issues of our breed. In this manner, we are sure any offspring we produce will have the best opportunity to flourish as a wonderful working part of your life.
Lisa is a member of the National Portuguese Water Dog Club, PWDCA and Florida's Regional Portuguese Water Dog Club, the USSPWD. She's qualified for Outstanding Breeder Achievement Award 2009-2012 through the PWDCA. She is an AKC Breeder of Merit, Breeder of H.E.A.R.T. and an AKC Evaluator. She as taught Puppy Kindergarten, Puppy STAR, Basic Obedience, and Therapy in her all-breed dog club. Caladesi's Health and Breeding Program is in accordance with the standard set by the PWDCA and going beyond with her own personal high standards.
